I’m Simon, an Englishman based in Shanghai with a relationship with China that goes back nearly 30 years.

My journey here began in 1998 when, in my late twenties, I became involved in a business partnership with a Chinese company, with offices in Guangzhou and Hong Kong and more than 200 locations across China.

I was directly involved in developing new products, manufacturing, sourcing and supplying for the Chinese market. It gave me first hand experience of doing business in China at a time when the country was a very different place from the China we know today.

Over the years, that experience has developed into a deep understanding of Chinese business, manufacturing, negotiation, international trade and, perhaps most importantly, how things actually get done here.

Today, SimonInChina.com brings together nearly three decades of experience, relationships and knowledge to help individuals and businesses around the world understand China, access opportunities and have someone they can trust on the ground.

I help individuals and businesses around the world turn opportunities in China into reality.

My spoken Chinese allows me to communicate confidently in everyday situations, while my team provides full Chinese language support for detailed commercial, technical and contractual discussions.

We can also arrange international shipping, including DDP delivery where available, allowing products to be collected from the factory in China and delivered directly to your door.

My work today increasingly takes me into some of China’s most exciting developing sectors, including health, wellness and longevity, AI, robotics, intelligent technology and advanced manufacturing.

Whatever the project, my role is to provide the experience, research, contacts and support in China to help you make informed decisions and move forward with confidence.
